a pride mosaic

Fabric in varying shades of the rainbow are sewn together to create a rainbow mosaic, symbolising the iconic pride flag. Each piece of fabric has a history of its own and joins to form a bright tapestry of colour, much like how each member of the LGBTQ+ community brings their unique history and identity to this vibrant community.

This pride month project involved 7 colours, 24 scrap fabrics, and over 150 individual pattern pieces. Quarantine allowed me time to immerse myself in my craft and I decided utilise scrap fabric accumulated from previous orders to create a whole new garment, symbolising the importance of upcycling and sustainable fashion, as well as the importance of pride month.
